What is the difference between a sequential and functional model in Keras Tensorflow?

Keras Tensorflow can create two different types of models, being sequential and functional. Much of the work that I have carried out using Tensorflow has been using sequential models, but its nice to know that there is another kind of model that can be used if necessary.
