LG is paving the way for an intriguing CES 2024 with a handful of early product announcements. On top of the LED TVs and portable projector it showed off last week, the electronics conglomerate unveiled Wednesday a line of OLED TVs sure to have consumers reassessing their living rooms.

OLEDs might be all the rage right now, but LG appears committed to improving its LED TV line even as it works to bring OLED into the mainstream. (More on that later.). LG announced a 2024 update to its QNED line. LG’s QNEDs heighten your typical quantum dot LED (QLED) experience by tacking on an LG NanoCell layer to enhance contrast. Beginning this year, the QNED line will feature a wider assortment of screen sizes, topping out at 98 inches. These TVs will also contain a new α8 AI processor, which LG claims will boast a 2.3-fold improvement in graphic performance, a 1.6-fold increase in processing speed, and a 1.3-fold increase in AI performance. This last bit is meant to boost existing features like AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro, which have been available on select LG devices for a few years.

Following closely behind LG’s QNED update announcement was one surrounding the all-new LG CineBeam Qube, a lifestyle (AKA non-professional) projector with a retro silhouette. Though the CineBeam Qube is just 3.3 pounds and less than 6 inches tall, the small but mighty projector is capable of 4K UHD resolution measuring up to 120 inches. It also has a reported contrast ratio of 450,000:1 and 154% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, allowing for an impressively bold image.

The star of LG’s pre-CES announcements is its new Signature OLED M4. An improvement on the OLED M3 concept from last year, the OLED M4 boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and a 150% increase in brightness. Its “wow” factor comes from its wireless connectivity: Using its separate Zero Connect box, the OLED M4 can stream video at up to 4K resolution, allowing users to be pickier with their home entertainment layouts. While the OLED M3 only came in 77-, 83-, and 97-inch options, the new OLED M4 will also come in a more accessible 65-inch option.

LG hasn’t published pricing information for any of these devices just yet. As CES 2024 comes and goes, we’ll likely get a few more details.
