Ie, in ML terms the goal is to build a classifier which outputs a diagnosis (category) based on patient symptoms (input data), and there is a lot of historical data to train models. I cannot give details here, but I have seen cases where real-world ROI was disappointing, especially for an exciting new tech that people had great hopes for.
